Overview and Instructions
Seeds of Terror (Phase 1) is designed as a reflective hyperlinked activity (otherwise known as an album cover with hyperlinked explanatory notes) for exploring perceptual positioning, using current global events as the stimulus. Associations related to this stimulus reach back many thousands of years. The key structural elements are four ambient generative music compositions with a corresponding digital image. The generative music compositions are drone based and gradually unfold over a 10 minute period, layered with a number of abstracted sound textures linked to both the elements of the corresponding image and composition title. There are a number of ways to explore the work - depending on your time committment, approach, and level of reflection they will generate a range of associations related to your personal experience and current mental model of the world:

• Listen to the compositions as ambient background music while performing some other activity
• Engage in an active listening process to build listening skills and explore the generative soundscapes
• Reflect on what the image may mean while listening to the compositions. Click on the song image/title to open a popup window with the corresponding full-size image.
• Decode the image (see below) and explore the associations generated from each different perceptual position while listening to the compositions.

Further Development Plans (Phase 1 ++):
The artistic goal is to explore the process of interpreting an idea through various forms and combinations of technologies and media that sit along the interaction continuum.
So stay tuned...ideas are cheap, but time expensive:-)
